Helping Seniors through the Selling Process
Our Popular Seminar is back – Helping Seniors through the Selling Process. We’ve had several calls requesting the seminar and so we are scheduled for Tuesday February 11, 2020 at Oakwood Country Club in the Bradford Room. The time is 10 am to 11:30 am
Coffee, tea and water will be served. In addition to the information we provided in the past, we have a real estate attorney who will be speaking about several areas of interest to seniors selling a home. Specifically, he will address:
- Documentation required to sell the home
- Necessary documentation when one spouse is incapacitated but still on the deed
- Documents required if one spouse is deceased
- Documents required when the home is in a trust
- Completing the Seller Property Disclosure Statement to limit liability – what is required to be disclosed and what is not.
- Other general areas
And we will also cover the following:
- How to start the process of selling
- Determining whether to stay, downsize or move
- The best time to list your home for sale
- Determining the market value and the type of market we are in
- Vendor list including independent/assisted living facilities (we have new ones)
- Estate Sale and people to assist in removing unwanted items
- Moving Companies
- The sales process and what to expect
