Pickleball – a FUN game and the fastest growing sport in the country! IronOaks club membership hs grown to over 240 players. One member told us it is easy to learn and is played on a court 1/4 the size of a tennis court. Players use a whiffle ball and hard paddle and is usually played as a doubles game. At an event held at Oakwood Country Club on Saturday April 12 it was clear that the sport in Sun Lakes is highly popular. Many new faces came to try out the fun on the court and the IronOaks Pickleball Club added to its membership. The Board of Directors for the IronOaks Pickleball Club was there along with members who were serving up delicious food and answering questions about this popular sport. Newcomers were encouraged to sign up for a first time experience and we watched as those folks entered the pickleball court for the first time and came out ready to sign up! It is addictive.
